@NyaaaWhatsUpDoc please accept my sincere apologies for leapfrogging your PR. I had in the back of my mind that this PR existed, but have had some more-hectic-than-usual life events since seeing it. @leahneukirchen requested a Go update earlier today and I hammered it out without doing my diligence to verify if a PR was already in flight. |

Local build testing
there remains failures in "TestRootChown" and "TestRootLchown", but these existed before this version bump
This also updates the Go bootstrap version used to 1.24.6, as mentioned in the release notes
